Fruits of Being!
Held Fortnightly
at The Sleeping Dragon, Waihi Beach.

Dipping into and exploring the heart of world traditions through body prayer. Expanding and deepening using sacred dance, song, meditation and phrase as our inspiration.
During our fortnightly journey of discovery we also encourage personal sharing, contemplation and journalling.

We will focus on one tradition per evening.
We begun on Wednesday 2nd of February 2005 with the Celtic Tradition as this day marks first fruits/ te waru/ lamas - a time to celebrate the harvest.

"Fruits of Being" was an inspiration born from a similar practice that was shared at the Annual Dances of Universal Peace Retreat/Training of 2005, that was lead by Shabda Kahn and Allauadin Ottinger, from the USA.

The structure of the evenings, begin with a brief introduction to the tradition we have chosen for the night, sometimes, we begin with readings and poetry and then we will do a Dance of Universal Peace, that is appropriate to the theme followed by meditation (approx 20 mins), then holding the silence we'll rise for another dance, alternating again with meditation and a further dance.

We invite you to bring a journal or writing paper as there will be time to record your personal thoughts before a sharing circle and a cuppa.

Please arrive at 6.45 as we start the circle promptly at 7pm. We envisage finishing at 9.30 ish.

Please bring a journal or paper and pen, some nibble for supper and koha/gold coin donation.
